Fastener Industry Coalition Support Funds Guidelines

The Fastener Industry Coalition (FIC) is pleased to provide funds supporting its member associations.  Approved funds are intended to enhance events, education or industry programs.  Below are both general guidelines for the applicant who is submitting a request for funds and for the board to consider when making a decision.

Requirements for Applicants

  • Submit a concept letter with a brief description of the program.
  • Outline the goals and objectives of the program.
  • Timeline for implementation or date of the event.
  • Provide a list of other funding sources for the event.
  • Specify the amount requested.
  • Complete the FIC Support Funds Request form.

With limited resources and a possibility of a number of proposals, the FIC is able to fund a limited number of worthwhile requests on an annual basis. Those same constraints limit the size of grants and may limit the number of years support can be given to any one organization.

Considerations for the FIC Board

Priority and approval for any given calendar year will be granted taking the following into consideration:

  • FIC budgeted amount for support.
  • Number of requests received, pending and granted for the calendar year.
  • Dollar amount of requests pending or granted.
  • Whether or not member organization has received support in the past.
  • Member organizations’ contributions and participation to the FIC.
  • Magnitude of the program in terms of how many industry participants expected.
  • Whether or not event is a collaborating event (multiple members involved).
  • Previously supported event results.
